Can most visitors get a visa on arrival in Syria?
Do not assume so. Royal Jordanian describes airport payment and arrival processing for many ordinary passengers, while Syria's current eAIP states a general advance-visa rule unless exempt. The checker labels this conflict and reserves 'visa on arrival' for country-specific government or embassy confirmation.
Does a published fee mean I can get the visa on arrival?
No. Decision 128 publishes fee groups, not a complete application-method table. The checker separately uses nationality-specific official sources and current airline operating instructions, and shows which kind of evidence supports each result.
Can I use the Syrian e-Visa website?
Do not rely on it at present. Although evisa.sy is the official published address, its application service was unavailable when checked on 29 August 2026. Confirm the current application route with the Syrian mission responsible for where you live.
How often is this information checked?
Every result displays its last verification date and links to the underlying sources. Because border procedures can change quickly, check again shortly before departure.
