Can most visitors get a visa on arrival in Syria?
Current airline entry instructions indicate that visa on arrival is the usual airport procedure for most ordinary visitors. It is not universal: some passports and traveller categories need prior approval or airline clearance, while land-border issuance should be checked separately.
Does a published fee mean I can get the visa on arrival?
No. Decision 128 publishes fee groups, not a complete application-method table. The checker separately uses nationality-specific official sources and current airline operating instructions, and shows which kind of evidence supports each result.
Can I use the Syrian e-Visa website?
Do not rely on it at present. Although evisa.sy is the official published address, its application service was unavailable when checked on 29 August 2026. Confirm the current application route with the Syrian mission responsible for where you live.
How often is this information checked?
